Follow on Google News | Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donna Karan Linked to Toronto Summer CampCanada’s Academy of Stage and Studio Arts (CASSA) has tied a connection to well- known celebrities, which will benefit their success inspired arts programming offered to Toronto children and teens this summer.
By: Canada's Academy of Stage and Studio Arts Lisa Phillips, the camp’s Founder & Executive Director, not only has connected, but has also had the opportunity to learn from Arnold Schwarzenegger and Donna Karan recently in Los Angeles, California. As thriving entrepreneurs and arts enthusiasts, both Schwarzenegger and Karan encouraged early skill development through arts and leadership education as the key to ensuring children grow up and pursue a path to success. Phillips has taken this advice and used it to strengthen CASSA to benefit local children. In tune with her book, The Artistic Edge: 7 Skills Children Need to Succeed in an Increasingly Right Brain World, Schwarzenegger and Karan’s share the importance of developing core leadership and creativity skills at a young age. CASSA’s Horizon Arts Camp provides young people with the environment necessary to develop confidence, creative thinking, problem solving, perseverance, adaptability and communication skills, just like her celebrity skills recommend! CASSA’s Horizon Arts Camp offers one and three-week session options in various disciplines throughout July and August. Best known for their intensive arts programs, the summer camp also allows campers to explore sports, hobbies, traditional camp games and more – providing them with a fun and complete learning experience. Registration is limited but still available for children aged 6-15 years old in the Toronto area. For more information, visit www.horzionartscamp.org.
