Bilzin Sumberg with Fellow 1450 Brickell Avenue Tenants to Benefit United Way of Miami-Dade

MIAMI - June 25, 2013 - PRLog -- Bilzin Sumberg Baena Price & Axelrod LLP recently partnered with fellow tenants of the office tower 1450 Brickell Avenue in the 2nd annual week-long campaign to benefit United Way of Miami-Dade. "1450 Connect" included a series of networking and fundraising events and a food drive to serve families in need through United Way's Community Cupboard.  

Events included a "CEO Circuit" speed networking event featuring Bilzin Sumberg managing partner, John C. Sumberg, and other CEOs in the building who shared career advice with young professionals. Bilzin Sumberg hosted a Women's Luncheon featuring Boo Zamek, founder of online newsletter JustAskBoo, who spoke about her career successes and challenges.

As part of Bilzin Sumberg Cares, the firm's community involvement initiative, Bilzin Sumberg attorneys and staff raised over $7,000 to purchase nonperishable food, personal and household items for the Community Cupboard, a food pantry to support low-income families with children at the United Way Center for Excellence in Early Education. As the tenant that collected the most food, Bilzin Sumberg received United Way's "Golden Can" award.
