Follow on Google News | Around the Rings on the Scene for FINA World Aquatics ChampionshipsBy: Around the Rings ATR also will publish one of its printed special editions for the event, offering the latest news on issues concerning FINA and aquatic sports. Assignment Editor Edward Hula III and European Editor Mark Bisson will represent ATR in Barcelona for the championships. Their reports will be found on Around the Rings website; readers can also follow developments via Twitter and Facebook. “Congresses are also scheduled to convene in Barcelona. These sessions will cover issues relating to the FINA constitution, citizenship, the use of underwater cameras, and protests. I’ll be on the scene to record every decision,” Bisson said. The two-week event will cover each of the six aquatic sports affiliated with FINA: Swimming, Diving, High Diving, Open Water Swimming, Synchronized Swimming, and Water Polo. “Whether it’s meetings in a hotel ballroom, or spirited competition in the water, Around the Rings will cover every development – just as we have for the last 20-odd years,” said Sheila Scott Hula, publisher of Around the Rings. “Readers know they can count on ATR for the most accurate, incisive coverage of Olympic sports to be found anywhere.” Thousands of fans will be on hand for the championships. Attendees include representatives from national governing bodies (NGBs), sponsors, government agencies, future host cities, and international media. Here is some of the exclusive content to look for in ATR’s special edition: • Interview with FINA chief Julio Maglione • FINA Congress preview • Update on preparations for Doha 2014 World Swimming Championships (25m) • Update on preparations for Kazan 2015 World Aquatics Championships Since 2001, Around the Rings has produced high-quality printed magazines for executive-level sports events worldwide. These publications are distributed onsite at the event – sent to ATR subscribers as eMagazines – and available to thousands of website visitors in PDF. The 2013 FINA championships are no exception. The FINA World Aquatics Championships were first held in 1973 in Belgrade, Serbia. Since 2001, the championships have been held every two years, 2013 being the 15th edition. In addition to the magazine release for the FINA championships, ATR has two other editions planned for the remainder of 2013. The next magazine will cover the IAAF World Championships, taking place in Moscow from August 10 to 18. The last edition for 2013 will regard the 125th IOC Session, to be held in Buenos Aires from September 4 to 12.
