Ice The Lice! Top Five Summer Camp Survival Tips

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. - June 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Summer camps are here! Vacation Bible School, Boy Scout & Girl Scout, Sports Camps, Cheer Camps...the list goes on and on. Summer camps are a feeding frenzy for hungry head lice. Kids live and play together, in close contact, often share things like hats and hair brushes. Here are 5 tips to make sure your kids come home from camp LICE-FREE!:

1. Check your kids BEFORE they go to camp.

2. Girls should wear their hair in a tight braid or bun.

3. Teach your camper not to share brushes, bandanas, hats etc.

4. Send a small spray bottle of a lice prevention spray or shampoo.

5. When your camper gets home, check them IMMEDIATELY for head lice.
