Belmar's New Shopping Experience Adds Pop to Your Summer!

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - June 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Belmar, a 22-block shopping and dining district, is taking another step toward new retail experiences by launching Pop Shops at Belmar, a new weekend-only shop that brings style and local boutique panache to west Denver beginning June 29, 2013.

Open only on Saturdays and Sundays, this ‘market on the move’ will exclusively showcase online or one-time retail shops offering customers a never-the-same shopping experience. Pop Shops at Belmar will feature a uniquely diverse group of vendors selling everything from fashion, accessories, outdoor and family goods to home, garden, entertaining products and specialty items.  Surrounded by live Music on the Plaza and The Market at Belmar, Pop Shops at Belmar will add additional flair to the Belmar shopping experience with a rotating mix of retail and weekly giveaways!

Every Saturday and Sunday, June 29 through Sept. 29, 2013 the Pop Shops at Belmar will literally 'pop up' to feature 6-12 boutique stores in one dedicated store front opening out the The Plaza at Belmar.  Local retailers like Out Of The Wordwork, Ziva Chocolates, Jolly Goods and the Giggling Green Bean will bring different offerings to the weekend experience giving customers a variety of new trinkets and treasures to fill their shopping bags. The Pop Shops at Belmar will be open from noon-4 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday at 7244 Bonfils Ln. in Lakewood.

New + Unique Experiences Await at Belmar
In addition to the Pop Shops at Belmar, shoppers can extend their visit to Belmar by taking advantage of a variety of events and activities this summer.  Already popular this June, patio dining is in demand!  Five new restaurants will open between June-September 2013 including: Rocko's Tacos, World of Beer, San Francisco Sourdough Eatery, Grappa Wine & Bar and Pho Saigon Basil.  And, with 15 al fresco restaurants and cafes already on site, Belmar is certain to please a palate seeking worldly cuisine—from Japan to India and China, plus all-American fare.

Other noteworthy experiences at Belmar, include:
A destination for art and cultural festivals and events, customers are invited participate in one of several well-known events including Belmar Folk Festival (July 20, 2013), Belmar Block 7 Art Walks (Aug 2, 2013), plus Colorado's largest Italian-inspired festival, Belmar’s 10th Annual Festival Italiano (Sept. 7-8, 2013).  Live music also hosted on the Plaza at Belmar Fri+ Sat through Aug, plus The Market at Belmar each Sunday through Aug.

With the opening of the ‘W Light Rail line’ in April, Belmar launched the area’s only free light rail shuttle offering a shuttle loop between the Lakewood-Wadsworth Light Rail station and Belmar 7-days a week. (More than 500 weekly riders…and counting!)
