McCarthy Building Companies Texas Division Names New Manager of Business Development

DALLAS - June 24, 2013 - PRLog -- DALLAS – June 24, 2013 – McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. (http://www.mccarthy.com/), a Texas builder for 34 years, has named Tyler Fairbanks the new business development manager for its Dallas office. Fairbanks will be responsible for developing new client relationships and focusing on business development in the commercial market.

Previously, Fairbanks served in business development at IDEA Construction and S.M. Wilson General Contractors, acting as a point of contact for joint venture projects between the two companies. He also was an integral part of the IDEA construction team and the development of its client base and network.

Prior to transitioning to the construction industry, Fairbanks worked as a sales representative and recruiter for Trend Personnel Services. Responsible for soliciting prospects, he was able to bring 17 new contracts to the firm, including an eight-year joint venture at the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. In addition, he gained experience marketing telecommunication services to both residential and corporate clients at C 4 Connections. He quickly became one of the top sales representatives in the Dallas office, prompting his move to manager, where he played an active role in interviewing, hiring and training new employees.

A graduate of Rice University in Houston, Fairbanks earned bachelor’s degrees in kinesiology and managerial studies and was a member of the school’s Western Conference championship track team and the football team.  He also has participated in several philanthropic events including Cowboys for Kids, a program that gathers toys for underprivileged children, and Hunters for the Hungry, a service providing food to local homeless communities. Fairbanks currently resides in the Addison neighborhood of Dallas.
