Western Maine Cash Mob Hits McLaughlin Gardens

SOUTH PARIS, Maine - June 24, 2013 - PRLog -- South Paris, Maine – Saturday, June 22, Western Maine Cash Mob, organized by W.J. Wheeler Insurance Agency, met on Main St. in South Paris along with all of the mobbers anxiously waiting to hear where they would be shopping.  They then prepared to head over to the chosen business, McLaughlin Gardens armed with their $20 bills.

The mobbers spent a total of $1684 dollars at McLaughlin Garden’s gift shop and plant sale, stimulating the local economy while having a blast with other community members.  Not only does the Cash Mob help the business being mobbed that one time but it also introduces new people that may have never gone there.  One of the mobbers, Brianna Trundy Ba said, “I had never been to McLaughlin Gardens before.  Thanks for a great time and for showcasing a wonderful treasure!”

Afterward, everyone gathered in the barn for the After Mob Party where they enjoyed creamy mac& cheese, haddock cakes, artisan pizzas, salads, cookies, cakes and so much more made Maurice restaurant, provided by H&R Block in South Paris.  Door prizes were awarded including gift certificates from Maine C&C Farm and Books N’ Things.  Casco Candles, one of the Cash Mob 2013 sponsors donated a one of their Spring Lilac candles for a fun prize.  Oxford Federal Credit Union gave several door prizes which included a Coolers, t-shirts and travel water bottles.
