New South Wales Launches Nursing and Midwifery Awards for 2013

SYDNEY - June 23, 2013 - PRLog -- Nurses and midwives make a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. For 2013 the New South Wales Health Authority wanted to recognise and publicly acknowledge the contribution these dedicated professionals make to their community.

Susan Pearce, the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer NSW said in a message announcing the program that “…Our nurses and midwives are the front line of patient care: the eyes and ears of the health care team. They are teachers, care co-ordinators and advocates whose clinical judgment helps steer the course of our patients' healthcare. Our nurses’ and midwives’ loyalty, expertise, dedication, commitment and hard work are the cornerstone that makes our health environment one of the best in the world.

I encourage you to consider nominating a nurse, midwife, manager or team whom you feel deserves to be recognised for excellence”.

PretaGov – the Software as a Service solution developed by Pretaweb Pty Ltd, and who have recently also opened a UK operation – was delighted to be asked to develop the website and back-end system used to promote and manage these important awards. Nominations close on July 1st 2013 with the awards ceremony taking place at Parliament House, Theatrette on Thursday 5th September, 2013.
