You may have believed the Zap! Bam! and Pow!  of the Dynamic Duo ended in 1968 when the Batman and Robin series no longer aired on national television.  Guess again!  The team who will triumph in the face of any challenge has come back to life in pairing the expertise of Lake Oswego realtor, Jesse Poll, and the specialized skills of Lake Oswego mortgage banker, Scott Munds.  These two professionals have put their abilities together to successfully complete yet another transaction.  A satisfied family moving into a new home may not seem particularly newsworthy to you, but consider the behind the set activity.

 A couple with adult children decided that they wanted to spend time alternating between their family and traveling around this wonderful country of ours.  Although they have loved developing their current home and acreage, the responsibilities have consumed most of their time.  In addition, it had been impossible to leave for any extended period without making complicated arrangements for care of the property.  Such a momentous change presented numerous barriers.  They must sell their home, sell their property, sell their tractor (Yes, tractor. . .), go through the process involved in finding, financing, and funding a home closer to their children, and move their belongings into the new home that had been prepared for change of ownership.  When this Lake Oswego realtor and mortgage banker team were presented with this proposal of seemingly insurmountable obstacles, they said, “Bam! We’ve got this.”

A multilayered transaction was set in motion.  Layer #1:  A young couple will purchase their first home.  Layer #2:  The sellers to the young couple will purchase the home and property owned by the couple in our story.  Layer #3:  Our soon-to-retire couple will purchase a new home and property in the same neighborhood where their children live.  Layer #4 The previous owner of this property will have completed her move.  Although this kind of financial orchestra must be well planned and smoothly executed, Jesse Poll and Scott Munds said, “Zap! No problem. . .”

Except there was a problem!  Egads! On Monday after all four groups were packed up and in motion, it looked like everything was going to fall apart.  The wife of the young couple, excited about her new prospects, had changed her name on her identification evidence (That’s driver’s license and social security card to most of us).  The newlyweds were in the middle of an FHA loan and their documents didn’t match.  The bank said, “Hold on.  The dynamic duo is foiled again.  We don’t have the appropriate papers.”

Jesse Poll said, “Too true, Scott.  The responsibility of the bank is to report the truth.  Despite what it might do to our public image, our main concern is to our frightened clients whom we seem to be failing.”  Phone calls were made to inform the involved realtors and clients that everything was on hold.

Lake Oswego mortgage banker Scott Munds said, “Pow! Holy headlines, we aren’t going to look like page one dumbbells! I’m on it!”  We are still not sure whether Scott is a magician, has sold his soul, or is simply really good at what he does, but he pulled it off.  The transactions closed by the end of the day, as planned.  Four loans funded and Holiday Inn Express lost several clients.
