BLACKROCK, Ireland - June 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Commissioned by Sherry Fitzgerald and working closely with award winning architect Paul Keogh, 3rd Dimension Studios produced a number of high end CGI’s of the interior spaces which involved the 3D visualisation of the proposed new Kitchen and Master Bedroom.  Both these rooms were chosen following discussions with the agents and architect and following the evaluation surrounding the limitations as to what could be visualised in 3D that did not compromise the conservation plans that are attached to some of the interior spaces.

“It was a pretty challenging project to work on alright due to the nature of the proposed development” says 3rd Dimension Studios CEO Nicholas Polley.  “Certain rooms within the house have conservation orders on them which meant that their features must be left untouched. This threw up immediate questions as to which rooms we could model from the plans as 3D modelling rooms that needed to retain their ornamental features would have required laser scanning, something that was not in the budget. Further more because no actual interior design was produced for any of the mansion, only plan layouts, the style and interior design very much came down to our own interpretation of what would look well based on information and feedback from Paul Keogh architects. However working closely with Rachael Chidlow in Paul Keogh’s office resulted in two very impacting 3D renders which are now being used as part of the marketing strategy for the mansion and its estate” NP

With plans to reverse the facade from west to east and adapt the layout to “a more sustainable format for modern living” 3rd Dimension Studios produced artist impressions of the Master Bedroom and proposed new Kitchen which will involve the ripping out of Charle’s old Irish bar. With only floor plans to work from the project involved the surveying of both rooms by our 3D Studio in order to 3D model certain architectural details such as the deep windows, cornicing and ceilings and of course to obtain ceiling heights etc which were not originally produced.

“Challenging as it was, the project was extremely interesting considering the history surrounding the mansion and its estate particularly when you see photos of the old Irish Bar in the house. Looking at photos of this room and being in it, you can tell it was home to one or two ‘private’ conversations over the past few decades” CEO Nicholas Polley
