SALISBURY, U.K. - June 20, 2013 - PRLog -- with:
Jill Robinson MBE, Animals Asia’s founder and CEO,  Rula Lenska  and Paul Martin (from BBC's program 'Flog-it') will be auctioning 32 lots of Joanna May’s past work.
Following her very successful art exhibition at The Savoy London last year, Animals Asia are delighted that renowned wildlife artist, Joanna May has chosen to support Animals Asia and our campaign to end bear farming  through her new show which will be taking place at the lovely Phyllis Court on the banks of the River Thames in Henley on Thames.   We are incredibly grateful for this very generous support.
The exhibition will be open from 9 am – 2.00 pm and will be followed at 3.00 pm by a presentation from Jill, a few words from Rula, afternoon tea and an auction to be run by Paul Martin.
Joanna will be donating 10% of the sale price from the work exhibited to Animals Asia and a very generous 50% of the successful auction bids from her previous work. Prior to the auction day, bidding will start with auction lots on www.givinglots.co.uk so please keep an eye out for announcements on email and social media for the opportunity to start bidding!    On the day of the exhibition, www.the-saleroom.com  will take bids from around the world with Paul Martin our auctioneer taking bids in the room.  So it is going to be very exciting.
This event will be by ticketed invitation only.  Tickets, costing £20 are available on request from Joanna by phone  01380 871821, email  joanna@joannamay.com , via Facebook JoannaMayArtist, or Twitter @JoannaMayArtist.
At the same time, you will be entered into a competition to win one of Joanna’s favourite TIGER prints.
Joanna says, ‘below is my first painting of these beautiful bears. The Chinese writing says "Black Bear" and the flowers and shells and leaves all have equal medicinal qualities instead of the bile, there is also a caption written round the golden moon. There will be a further six paintings of the moon bear and one of my beloved Brown Hare in this new style. I will be explaining the meanings of each painting as well as posting more new work on my Facebook page as I go.  This is a good reason to visit and connect with me on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and Google+.

Peter Egan and Friends: Mill at Sonning
Entitled Peter Egan and Friends, this will be a fun evening of anecdotes, poems, limerick and song at this beautiful little theatre in the oldest working mill in England.  Tickets are available from Sonning Mill box office on 01189 698000 or online at www.millatsonning.com
