The Run for Faith recently announced the need for additional volunteers for this year’s third annual race, set for Sunday, August 11. “There would not be a Run for Faith if it were not for our volunteers. Their love and affection for Mom carried us through the first race where we literally finished as Hurricane Irene began,” said Matthew Romboldi, Run for Faith organizer and son of Marcy “Faith” Romboldi, in whose memory the race is held. Faith lost her battle to ovarian cancer in 2010. Added Matthew,“Volunteers for this race either are family or like family. And in our family, there’s always room for more.” Volunteers are needed to man registration tables, water stations and other day-of-race functions.
