KIDDERMINSTER, U.K. - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Business partners Jeff Ide and Richard Davis have something to celebrate as they recently welcomed council officials, suppliers and customers to the official opening of the Weavers Real Ale House.

To be opening a new venture is exciting and uplifting in an economy that has seen so many pub closures. The Weavers Real Ale House, is based on an entirely new business model, ‘the micro pub’ which is a first for both Kidderminster, the Wyre Forest District and beyond and sets a welcomed precedent.

Micro pubs are drinking establishments that have no commercial ties with the larger breweries and can therefore sell a range of beers and ciders sourced from smaller independent brewers, more commonly known as micro-breweries.

The Weavers Real Ale House, although based on a new concept, is modelled on ‘the way pubs used to be’; quiet drinking establishment for those who hanker after the taste of real ale in a relaxing environment.

With four local ales available on draught including Three Tuns Brewery's flagship ale XXX, Enville brewery's self named Enville ale and two regularly changing guest ales, the Weavers, hope to provide something for everyone. Farmhouse ciders and perry, along with a selection of wines and soft drinks, will also be on offer.

Joint owner Richard Davis said: “We are naturally excited to be opening our new venture, but we couldn’t have done it without the fantastic support we’ve received from Wyre Forest District Council, particularly Peter Michael. We would also like to extend our special thanks to Deputy Mayor Councillor Michael Price for presiding over our official opening.

“Our opening ceremony is really about thanking all the people that have helped Jeff and me to accomplish our vision including our suppliers, friends and family that have worked hard to turn the project around really quickly.”

With a cosy ‘vintage’ interior the Weavers has seating for around 40 people. Simple cold ‘rustic’ food including home-made pork pies and ploughman’s lunches will be on the menu, accompanied by beer infused breads and pickles and chutneys.

Wyre Forest Town Centres Champion, Cllr Helen Dyke commented: “We’re delighted to support this exciting new venture and we encourage all new businesses to contact the Council and find out what help is available.”
