By: Ayrshire Farm As part of a new spring menu, Hunter’s Head Tavern will offer many of its pub fare favorites; the dinner and lunch menus change monthly, offering delicious options made from organic, local and non-GMO meat and produce. Two new staples to the menu include the “Build a Burger” option and the Super-food Salad. To build a burger, guests can choose from proteins including beef, turkey, veal, chicken, portobello mushroom or a Boca burger. Tantalizing toppings like a fried farm egg, house-cured bacon, tomato chili jam, avocado and a variety of cheeses are available. The Super-food Salad, rich in nutrients and antioxidants, is made with tossed garden greens, smoked turkey, legumes, quinoa, beets and sunflower seeds. Ayrshire Farm and Hunter’s Head Tavern produce and provide certified organic, Certified Humane meats and produce. They were recently awarded a 2-star certification from the Green Restaurant Association, a Snail of Approval Award from Slow Food D.C., a Diners’ Choice Winner from OpenTable.com, and they were also honored as a Visit Loudoun 2013 Destination Restaurant. ### About Ayrshire Ayrshire Farm, located in Upperville, Virginia, was the first Virginia farm to be certified both organic and humane.
