Pearson Solicitor Is New Oldham Vice President of Greater Manchester Chamber

OLDHAM, U.K. - June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- CORPORATE and commercial solicitor Laura Cullen (http://www.pearsonlegal.co.uk/site/people/profile/laura.cullen) has recently been appointed as Oldham Vice-President of Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce.

Laura joined Pearson’s Solicitors six years ago as a trainee and qualified two years later.  She works in the corporate and commercial department and has been an active member of the Chamber of Commerce since she joined three years ago.

“I have always enjoyed the chamber activities, the Oldham group is a friendly one and I would urge local business to get involved,” said Laura.

“My work as a lawyer for Pearson Solicitors has brought me into contact with a wide variety of local businesses, from small family run concerns, to much larger national firms and I hope to bring that wealth of experience to my role as Vice-President of Oldham Chamber of Commerce.

“I am sure that my role as a solicitor and my chamber activities will work well side by side, every day I get a feeling for the needs of local businesses and what matters to my clients and being able to convey this via the Chamber will be very useful,” said Laura.

Her role will be to work alongside Chamber President, Craig Dean, who is Chief Executive of Web Applications UK.

Laura is also Training Officer for the Oldham Law Association. As well as serving the needs of its legal members, the association also holds events to raise money for charity including the annual quiz in aid of Shelter.

She gained her Law Degree from Lancaster University and after working in the legal environment as a Law Cost Draftsman she completed the Legal Practice Course at BPP Law School in Manchester in 2007 gaining a Distinction.
