Tales2Go Selected to Present at Education Technology Start-Up Collaborative

June 19, 2013 - PRLog -- Washington, D.C. – Tales2Go Inc., the leading provider of streaming audiobooks for the K-8 marketplace has been invited to present at the upcoming Education Technology Collaborative in Chicago, IL on July 11.  Educators and administrators from leading Midwest public, private and charter schools will have the chance to explore Tales2Go at this one-day, free event.  Listening to audio books increases reading scores, as proficient reading is a result of listening comprehension (i.e. vocabulary and fluency) and decoding skills.

The Education Technology Start-Up Collaborative is the brainchild of Eileen Murphy, a former teacher, curriculum developer and district-level manager in Chicago Public Schools.  Murphy wanted to assemble a session where educators could engage in hands-on demonstrations of education technologies and promising young start-ups could generate awareness of their product and get valuable user feedback.  School leaders in a variety of Chicago-area schools selected thirty-five companies to participate in this event.  The three areas of selection were: literacy, STEM and management and support of classroom activities.
