Michael Rosner Joins Sklar Kirsh

June 18, 2013 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES—Michael N. Rosner, with 20 years of experience as a corporate transactional and finance attorney, has joined Sklar Kirsh LLP as a partner in the firm’s Corporate Department.

Rosner adds a strong background in structuring a wide range of financial transactions to Sklar Kirsh’s corporate law practice. He began his legal career handling secured transactions, bankruptcies and corporate restructurings. He later expanded his areas of expertise by managing workouts of complex loan portfolios, overseeing various financing transactions for film studios and producers, and handling mergers & acquisitions and general corporate legal affairs, among other responsibilities.

Rosner was formerly with Relativity Media, a Beverly Hills-based entertainment company which finances, produces and distributes a wide variety of entertainment content.  As General Counsel and Executive Vice President, he was responsible for all legal matters studio-wide including the closing of multiple financing rounds. While at Relativity, the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal recognized Rosner as one of 20 leading general counsel in California.

Previously, he was senior counsel in the Los Angeles office of Loeb & Loeb LLP where he represented a variety of regional and national banks, commercial finance companies, hedge funds and borrowers in a wide range of financing transactions involving a host of industries including entertainment, healthcare, manufacturing, technology, transportation and apparel.  At Loeb, he also handled various film financing transactions and was responsible for general corporate matters both within and outside of the entertainment industry. Prior to joining Loeb, Rosner spent five years as vice president and corporate counsel at FINOVA Capital Corporation (formerly Fremont Financial Corporation).

Rosner began his legal career in the Financial Services Department of Blank Rome LLP, one of the largest corporate law firms in Philadelphia.

A native of Philadelphia, Michael received his BA in English Literature from the University of Michigan in 1990, and his JD from Boalt Hall School of Law at the University of California Berkeley in 1993.

Rosner is a member of the State Bars of California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania (currently on voluntary inactive status).
