Mooresville Chiropractor offers effective treatment for chronic injuries

Dr. Dan Zagst offers a relatively new treatment to patients suffering from chronic injuries.  Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Massage (IASTM) is a new technique that takes advantage of a soft tissue tool to effectively identify and eliminate scar tissue from an injury site.  This new technique works on a wide range of injuries from plantar fasciitis to rotator cuff impingement and even TMJ disorders.  The best part about this technique is that it's short, specific, and effective.  
IASTM works by breaking down scar tissue at an injury site.  The use of the tool allows for a more aggressive and site specific approach.  Scar tissue is then reabsorbed by the body and replaced by new tissue that is stronger and more flexible than scar tissue.  Not only can this alleviate pain but it can reintroduce a larger range of motion and more strength to an injured joint/muscle.  This technique can be applied virtually anywhere and generally takes 4-8 treatments for complete resolution.
