The 30th Annual Virginia State Foosball Championships

PINNACLE, N.C. - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Harrisonburg, VA---July 19th and 20th, 2013 are the dates set for the 30th Annual Virginia State Foosball Championships, to be held at Panos Restaurant, 3190 S.       A portion of the tournament proceeds will go to support the Mercy House.  The Mercy House was founded in 1988 their Mission is to serve only homeless families with dependent children and maintain focus on building and strengthening family unity.  Their motto is “Changing the world one family at a time.”

      “We are extremely excited to bring one of our Bonzini™ U.S.A. Foosball Tour stops to the Harrisonburg, VA area,” said Cribbs Inc. president Alan Cribbs.   “Earlier this year, we surpassed $161,000.00 in contributions raised for all our charitable events through our Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Tour.  We have a dedicated player base that is working hard to make this a premier event on the 2013 Bonzini U.S.A. Foosball Tour.”
   
       Mercy House is very excited that the Virginia State Foosball Championship has chosen our organization as the beneficiary of this year’s tournament. “We are currently working on raising money for important upgrades needed to our shelter and daycare, so the timing is wonderful for Mercy House.” said Twila Lee, Executive Director of Mercy House.

     “This is a really great event for the players and an excellent way to help the local community and we are proud to be a part of this annual event!” says Shenandoah Valley Foosball.  “To be able to have fun while helping such a worthy cause as  Mercy House makes for a great weekend.“
 
     Bonzini™ U.S.A. Foosball Tour events are gaining national recognition for their efforts in creating a tournament atmosphere that is professionally operated to entertain players and spectators alike.  The tournament room will be located in Panos Restaurant and will offer maximum viewing advantages to all spectators.  Local players as well as players from other states are expected to participate in this event.  We will have many members from the 2009 and 2010 U.S. Bonzini Foosball Team competing this year which should put on a great show for all.  The Virginia State Foosball Championships have received national attention, such as the ESPN exposure in 2005.

     “With 70% of the field expected to be made up of Virginians, we are all well aware of the valuable service the Mercy House provides to the community and I anticipate a great tournament event,“ said Cribbs Inc., president Alan Cribbs.
