The Tinsmith’s Wife, a Hill Country Destination for Crafters, Opens Larger Location in Comfort, TX

SAN ANTONIO - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- The new location was made possible through SBA financing facilitated by a joint effort between Jefferson Bank at Boerne and 5th Gear Consulting. Having outgrown their first location, Wendy Solberg contacted her business banker, DeVan Watts at Jefferson Bank in Boerne, in order to secure a loan to move out of the current 1,500 sq/ft facility and purchase the 5,000sq/ft location next door. A candidate for SBA financing, DeVan brought in Helena Hauk, President of 5th Gear Consulting, to help package and process the SBA portion of the loan. It took $380,000 to purchase and move in to the space. The character and charm of the new building, which was the original Town Hall for Comfort, allows The Tinsmith’s Wife to retain their Comfort, Texas roots while better meeting the needs of the thousands of crafters that travel to their store every year.

The Tinsmith’s Wife is a must see Hill Country destination for knitters, crocheters, and craft lovers who are looking for high-quality yarns, patterns, and inspiration. The retail store includes casual areas for crafters to work and mingle, along with private rooms for classes and events.
