BRIDGEND, Wales - June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- A team of local professionals will be pushing themselves, and a team-mate on a very special Snowdon climb for national charity, Back Up.

The 16-strong team, pulled together by Equinox Physiotherapy Partnership, will be assisting spinal cord injury survivor Gareth Hingley climb the mountain in a specially modified wheelchair, kindly donated by Bridgend based Invacare Ltd.

Back Up’s Snowdon Push is being held on Saturday 6th July 2013. The unique national charity inspires people to transform their lives and challenges the perception of disability.

Gareth Hingley, a father of three, was seriously injured in a motorbike accident in August 2011. He was paralysed from the chest down and had to come to terms with adjusting to life in a wheelchair.

Gareth comments: “Climbing Snowdon is this year’s challenge and I’m really looking forward it. When I had my accident two years ago I was very scared to begin with knowing I’d never walk again. I am very lucky to have an amazing family and great support from my friends. I’m proud to be supporting Back Up, a fantastic charity that helps inspire independence among people affected by spinal cord injuries.”

As well as JCP Solicitors, the challenge is being supported by Equinox Physiotherapy Partnership, Elliots Hill Care, The Black Lion, Jennifer M Whittall Ltd and Invacare Ltd.
