CliniMed Senior Product Specialist Wins Big At The Ostomy Lifestyle Awards

CliniMed actively encourage their employees’ involvement in community and charitable events: Wendy also works hard as a Trustee at the charity Breakaway http://www.main.breakaway-visits.co.uk/, the UK's only residential weekend activity breaks designed for young people aged 4-18 with bowel and /or bladder diversions/dysfunctions, and their families.  Wendy and CliniMed were thrilled to see the charity pick up the Charity of the Year award, with Julie Bastin (Founder and Trustee) winning the Volunteer of the Year award.

We spoke to Wendy after she heard the brilliant news and here is what she had to say:  ‘To be nominated was an honour in itself; to win, well, that’s another story. It’s fantastic to know that this success is built on the votes of the people I work with, day in, day out.  I love what I do and that makes all the difference. It’s good to know that, as a salesperson, I am recognised as a person who goes that extra mile to achieve success, not just for the company, but to also provide continuing support for patients.’

She went on to speak about her charity work with ‘Breakaway’, stating ‘I love this aspect because my relationship with the stoma care nurses I see is not just about products; I get great feedback from them about the advice I provide and the value Breakaway adds.’

Wendy’s incredible achievement is tribute both to her and to the caring and compassionate attitudes of CliniMed staff, showing how each individual makes a difference to the lives of their patients.
