June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- SAN Sentinel is a specialist in SRM software, which uses the Cloud and relies on the SaaS model: the company, which is independent from storage arrays manufacturers, will showcase its Sentinel Navigator software suite at the Cloud World Forum 2013. The company is seeking UK-based business partners; the Forum takes place from 26 to 27 June, in London (UK).

Independent from storage arrays manufacturers, SAN Sentinel publishes Storage Resource Management (SRM) software that can be used in the Cloud, while relying on the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. The specialist company will display its main product — Sentinel Navigator — at the fifth Cloud World Forum (Stand 950), to be held at the Olympia exhibition hall, in central London, from 26 to 27 June of this year.

Mike Uzan, CTO at SAN Sentinel, explains, "By creating a technological break in traditional SRM tools, SAN Sentinel offers a solution that complies with the economic constraints of the storage market. Sentinel Navigator has been designed to meet the needs of companies that wish to have control of storage costs in order to maintain the competitiveness of their organisations."

SAN Sentinel, with the support of COFACE, a trade-risk expert and a leader in credit insurance, is looking for partners in the UK; the trade show for the cloud-computing sector represents an ideal opportunity in this respect.

On Stand 950, SAN Sentinel will also give visitors a complete audit of their businesses' storage infrastructures in a few minutes. In order to benefit from this opportunity, visitors should download the collection script from SAN Sentinel's website (http://www.sansentinel.com/?page_id=817) and generate the file, which will then be integrated into the dedicated Cloud SRM platform.

Companies wishing to benefit from this audit should bring a USB stick containing the generated files to SAN Sentinel's stand. In real time, SAN Sentinel's dashboard will provide information enabling the companies to assess the cost-effectiveness afforded by the combination of their storage equipment with their operational processes.

SAN Sentinel will also exhibit Sentinel Navigator, an innovative solution that offers SRM thanks to Cloud technology. This product provides IT agility by offering services based on a pay-as-you-use model.

Sentinel Navigator analyses systems' infrastructure, topology and cartography, while providing an audit of the complete set of Storage Area Network (SAN) components. This data is accessible thanks to a user-friendly interface, which is based on innovative internet technologies and is included in the basic parameters of the infrastructure-management software.

This software provides its user with a full status breakdown of switches, but also of the servers which are connected to the storage. The key functionalities include an analysis of the existing stock, provisional or capacity planning, chargeback per application or business, as well as reporting and access to the development history on a regular basis. The SRM tool integrates all storage architectures, such as SAN, NAS, CAS for ISCSI, IP, and FC protocols.

Sentinel Navigator is available for EMC, Symmetrix, VNX, Celera, Clariion and Centera storage bays; for IBM Storwize SVC/V7000; for HP 3PAR; and, finally, with Brocade, Cisco and VMWare vCenter switches.
