USB Update Application for SmartTOP Modules Now Available in the Mac App Store

June 17, 2013 - PRLog -- Las Vegas, NV (USA), June 17th, 2013 -- The SmartTOP add-on controller offered by Mods4cars delivers extra convenience and functionality for convertible top operation. Amongst other features it allows use of the top while driving at slow speeds (up to 60km/h / 38mph on some models) as well as one-touch and remote operation. Each module comes with a host of user configurable bonus functions as well.

Mods4cars continuously keeps improving its products. For that reason all SmartTOP modules come equipped with a mini USB port which allows customers to connect the product to their laptop or desktop computers. With the software application “m4cconnect” ( http://www.mods4cars.com ) customers can change personal preferences and update the module firmware. For Apple computers running Mac OS Lion and up, the application is now available directly via the official Apple Mac App Store.

After installing the new app customers can connect their SmartTOP module ( http://www.mods4cars.com ) via the supplied USB cable and configure all settings. Possible options are, for example, maximum desired speed for top operation or if the windows should be op or down by default after opening the top from the remote. All user configurable settings can be enabled or disabled with and are explained in the app.

The app also allows end users to install firmware updates offered by Mods4cars. “We continuously keep working on adding new functions and features and often customer feedback leads to development of new functionality.” says Sven Tornow. “Updates are offered free of charge and without any limitation to owners of each of our products: A one of a kind service in this product segment.” Sven Tornow concludes.
