BEACH HAVEN, N.J. - June 16, 2013 - PRLog -- BEACH HAVEN, NJ, June 15, 2013 – Landfall: The Eyes of Sandy is a film for relief produced by A.D. Pictures and sponsored by Jetty. The film depicts the approach and devastation of Hurricane Sandy and the community’s resilience and resurgence in the aftermath. All proceeds from Landfall will benefit the Jetty Rock Foundation, which helps the individuals and businesses affected by the disaster. Screenings of Landfall can be attended on June 16th at the Long Beach Island Festival of the Arts and June 28th and July 3rd at the Surflight Theater.

Landfall chronicles Superstorm Sandy as it approaches and devastates the communities of Long Beach Island and Stafford Township, New Jersey, but focuses on the powerful community approach to rebuilding after the storm. The film captures the roller coaster of emotions that families, first responders, business owners and nonprofits experienced post Sandy through the eyes of the individuals who were deeply affected. With no blueprint for a disaster of this magnitude, Landfall pieces one together based on the uniting of people and organizations who are fighting to salvage a summer season in 2013 one that identifies their livelihoods in a tourism dependent region.

The film is supporting the Jetty Rock Foundation, a 501(c)3 charitable organization created with the goal of continuing to aid the families, first responders, businesses and nonprofits with long-term needs in the wake of Superstorm Sandy. All proceeds from the film and screenings go directly to help those most impacted by the storm. The foundation is the charitable arm of New Jersey based surf lifestyle company, Jetty (www.jettylife.com).
