Ground Penetrating radar can positively identify buried underground storage tanks, and tank sweeps using outdated 'wand ' technology will only yield a inconclusive result requiring more additional testing. Abandoned oil tanks filled with sand and concrete may be missed by tank sweeps using wand technology while wand technology will positively identify this structure.
