HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - June 15, 2013 - PRLog -- elements on hollis (http://www.elementsonhollis.ca/) is pleased to announce their Executive Chef, Bryan Corkery will be participating in the 2013 Gold Medal Plates competition in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Maritime Chef leads the culinary team at the downtown Halifax restaurant, located in the Westin Nova Scotian.

“I’m honoured to have been selected to compete in Gold Medal Plates this fall and to represent elements on hollis,” states Chef Bryan Corkery. “I can’t wait to share my passion for local food with these amazing chefs and compete in a friendly culinary competition. We’re absolutely delighted to be a part of this event for such a great cause.”

Chef Bryan Corkery is one of nine Nova Scotian chefs to compete in the Gold Medal Plates competition in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The chefs will use the best of Atlantic cuisine (http://www.elementsonhollis.ca/menus) and compete against one another, each seeking to move on to the nation-wide Canadian Culinary Championships next February in British Columbia.

“Gold Medal Plates is a celebration of Canadian excellence in food, wine, sport and entertainment,” said event co-founder Karen Blair at a launch event on Wednesday, June 12, 2013. “This is not like your typical broccoli-chicken dinner that you might get at another gala.”
