By: Flagler Habitat for Humanity Tony Spence and her two boys, Carlos and Cayden, are very excited. Ms. Spence says, “Habitat taught me with hard work and dedication, I can succeed in anything. With the help from Habitat I’m able to provide a nice and stable home for myself and my family.” Lindsay Elliott, Executive Director of Flagler Habitat, adds, “It is so exciting to be a part of a movement that makes such a positive impact in the lives of people in our community and around the world. Our partner families work hard for their home, putting in a minimum of 250 hours of “Sweat Equity” and homeowner education classes. Our homeowners purchase their homes at full price for a 0% interest mortgage. We are proud of the homes we build and having the opportunity to create the ‘American Dream’ of home ownership for a family in need.” As always, the public is welcome to join in the celebration and wish the new homeowners well.
