Trimmer Assist Launches “Made In Usa” Initiative

On a radio interview 6-11-13, on “Home Talk USA” with Michael King, Tony Hanes – CEO of NLKUSLLC announced big plans to convert to USA manufacturing of their “Trimmer Assist” brand of outdoor products.

The USA manufacturing will be facilitated by a crowd-funding program on indiegogo.com, called “Rebuilding The American Dream” where funds are being raised to implement start-up costs.

The Trimmer Assist brand features a bungee suspension system that can be used effectively on string trimmers, edgers or hand held blowers, and a Detector Assist for use with metal detectors. The unique suspension system supports the weight, yet still provides full reach-ability via a shock absorbing bungee.

The crowd-funding project, launched June 13, looks to raise 120k dollars for NLKUSLLC in 30 days, through support of the community offering contributions, from as little as one dollar and up.

“We have recently experienced a growth spurt from our connections at the National Hardware Show in Las Vegas last month,” Hanes said “and now that our volumes have reached a certain threshold, we feel we should do everything we can to make our products at home.”

Last month, the Trimmer Assist was showcased at the National Hardware Show in the “Inventors Spotlight” area at booth IS202, where a sponsorship program was announced, in partnership with Eddie Sharp Racing (ESR) where NLKUSLLC showcased the Trimmer Assist on the No. 8 Chevrolet for Max Gresham NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

Hanes went on to say  “It’s all but impossible for an upstart company with a custom textile product, to have it manufactured in the USA, as that industry is all but gone. The only solution is to develop your own manufacturing facility, where you only have to meet the costs of manufacturing and not an additional profit margin”.

Once the target funds have been raised, the plan is to set up manufacturing just south of Atlanta, Ga. and to begin filling orders with USA manufactured inventory in the spring of 2014.

“As we are growing as a company, it just doesn’t make sense that we have to send our money overseas rather than hire US workers. It just doesn’t make any sense.”  Hanes said “But the system has changed so much, that for products like ours, you are forced to make it overseas, or you have to do something really big.”

Hanes also announced on Home Talk USA the launching of a new product, the “Detector Assist”, a bungee suspension system for metal detectors; the worlds only metal detecting bungee suspension system.
