June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- “We all have the ability to take charge of our own health and wellness. And, we can do it without government intervention and mandates, and without throwing any more money at studies that tell us what we already know. Our healthcare costs as a nation are killing us, and we’re killing ourselves. Our own lifestyle choices are our own worst enemy,” says Melinda Seifert, co-founder of LoneStart Wellness, author of “Well-done, The Wellness Manifesto," and promoter of the Kickstarter project with the same name.  http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2093882041/well-done-the-wellness-manifesto

Kickstarter is a proven way to fund creative projects, and does so with the direct support of people who want to be involved and see the project succeed. Since their launch in 2009, more than 4.2 million people have pledged over $645 million, funding more than 42,000 creative projects.  Here’s where LoneStart Wellness comes in. They plan to be one of the next success stories.

Click here to see, “Well-done, The Wellness Manifesto.”  When complete it will be an interactive e-book, with links to a new website that will provide an online Manifesto template allowing readers the opportunity  to post their personal Wellness Manifesto, with the option of making it private or public. "The  beauty of a “Public” Manifesto is that it will be visible on the website for others to see, comment on, and relate to. Our intent is for the “site” to create a new social connection, where individuals can engage in new,  positive conversations about their personal well-being, and form “virtual” support groups," says Seifert. She adds that, Together, and person by person, we can make a difference in our country’s  healthcare crisis. It’s the only way we’re going to finally bend the proverbial healthcare cost curve.”

“A simple concept with the potential to change the healthcare landscape,” says Seifert. “This is a big statement, yet it is entirely feasible. It really is exquisite in its simplicity. It only asks that we all get involved and play our parts to make it happen.”

If you’re at all familiar with Kickstarter, you know funding is “all or nothing.” Seifert points out that she needs to reach her fundraising goal to be funded, and hopes to greatly exceed it in order to bring this powerful tool to as many people as possible as soon as possible. She says, “We can make a difference with your help, and that difference has the potential to deliver almost incalculable benefits to individuals, families, organizations and communities. But, we need your support and energy.”

By sharing the project link (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2093882041/well-done-the-wellness-manifesto)  with a personal message to connections, via FB, Twitter, Linked In and other social media groups Seifert says the Wellness Manifesto has the potential to go viral. She points out that, “when shared with friends, relatives, associates and colleagues, church groups, and anyone else interested in taking part in a groundswell, grassroots movement, the project can change the direction our country’s very real health crisis is headed. Together, we can make a difference!”

Kickstarter’s mission is “to bring creative projects to life.” Seifert says, "Our mission is to help individuals create a healthy life. I don’t see how any of us can turn our backs on this issue. It will drive our country into bankruptcy if we don’t face it and turn it around. Yet, we can. We can all of us do this if we just make modest yet meaningful changes. That’s what this project, Well-done, The Wellness Manifesto gives us the opportunity to do. When we’re all in, we all win!” says Seifert.  "Here’s an opportunity to really make a difference in where we’re headed.” (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/2093882041/well-done-the-wellness-manifesto)
