Shannon K. Cole Inducted into Worldwide Who’s Who for Excellence in Animal Care Services

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- CARPENTERSVILLE, IL, June 13, 2013, Shannon K. Cole, Owner of a pet-sitting company bearing her name, has been recognized by Worldwide Who’s Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in animal care services.

As a 13-year-old girl, Ms. Cole started her own dog walking business. Over the years, she started caring for the pets of numerous friends and family members. She continued to pursue her love of animals through her education, obtaining a certification as a veterinary assistant, as well as a certification in animal CPR and first aid.  

After working for veterinarians in a variety of capacities, Ms. Cole opened Shannon’s Pet Sitting three years ago. She specializes in pets with behavioral and medical problems, as well as elderly pets. Through Shannon’s Pet Sitting, Ms. Cole provides full-service care for clients’ pets in their homes, including maintaining the pet’s daily routine.

Ms. Cole remains affiliated with a variety of industry-related associations, including the Women in the Pet Industry Network and the American Pet Association. In addition, she supports many animal-related charities, including Open Doors Animal Rescue, 2 Million Dogs, Greater Chicagoland Ferret Association and St. Sophia’s Forgotten Felines. As an individual dedicated to the welfare and happiness of animals and their owners, it comes as no surprise that Ms. Cole has been not only accredited but also won an assortment of awards for her services. Both the Better Business Bureau, and the American Pet Association accredited her business in 2010. Shannon’s Pet Sitting garnered the Better Business Bureau Complaint Free Award for 2011 & 2012. In addition was awarded in 2011 the Super Services Award from Angie’s List.

In addition to her experiences in the animal care industry, Ms. Cole was interviewed and mentioned in the book, “How to Start a Home-Based Business to Become a Work-At-Home Mom,” which was published in 2011.
