And if that’s not enough food for thought there will also be a demonstration of planting a Foot Square Vegetable Garden, a fail safe way to grow tasty and imaginative vegetables for you and your family.  Talks will be at 11.30, 1.00, 2.30 and 16.00 on both days.
This year we are raising vital funds for melanoma research at the BlondMcIndoe Research Foundation, based at the Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead. The QVH houses the South East’s largest Melanoma and Skin Cancer Unit.

Says Paul Banwell, FRCS, Lead Consultant MASCU (Melanoma and Skin Cancer Unit, East Grinstead)

‘Melanoma is the most serious of skin cancers; it has increased rapidly over the last 30 years. It affects most ages; I have even seen patients as young as 14 and it is especially prevalent in people who enjoy outdoor lifestyles, like sports enthusiasts, gardeners and walkers. My advice is to avoid excessive exposure to the sun and the resulting sunburn, use protective clothing and SPF30+ creams for adults and children, and you will be reducing your risk of developing this life threatening condition.’

Learn how to ‘grow it with Harry’ and enter our prize draw on the day to win a Haskins Garden Centre Voucher! See you there: Haskins, Snowhill Lane, Copthorne, West Sussex RH10 3EY    www.haskins.co.uk
