Atlanta physician embraces technology by using apps to provide better patient care

ATLANTA - June 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Buckhead Concierge Internal Medicine (BCIM) announces its use of an iPhone and Android app as part of the practice’s overall patient care.  The Gazelle app, created by Quest Diagnostics, provides real-time lab results, medication and allergy lists, physician and insurance information and medical history to patients.

Buckhead Concierge Internal Medicine, the practice of Dr. Edward Espinosa, is considered to be a first adopter of this useful app.  Dr. Espinosa looks to technology whenever possible to help deliver care to his patients. When talking about the addition of the Gazelle app to the protocol of BCIM, Dr. Espinosa states, “The adoption of the Gazelle app complements our goal of streamlining how quality health care is delivered.”  

Gazelle securely delivers physician contact information and insurance information to smartphones, and is continuously updated for each patient via HIPAA compliant technology. The app equips patients and Dr. Espinosa with faster and better access to patient information, increasing patient safety and heightening the overall level of care. He is the medical director at Buckhead Concierge Internal Medicine, where he has been practicing for the past 5 years.
