PRLog - June 10, 2013 - POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- Rockers in Recovery is partnering with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) on their latest underage drinking prevention campaign. Called “Talk. They Hear You.”, this campaign empowers parents with the tools, resources, and confidence to start talking with their kids early about the dangers of underage drinking—even before their kids are teenagers. Studies show that most 6-year-olds know that alcohol is only for adults. Between the ages of 9 and 13, many children begin to think underage drinking is OK. Some even start to experiment.

How we do this, is through several concert and festival fundraisers per year to be known as “Rockers In Recovery Live Concert Series”. The Rockers In Recovery Band combines cream of the crop musicians, and some serious good time Rock and Roll. We also invite other musicians that are in recovery or support recovery to help carry our message of hope through music. Most importantly the message of “Rockers In Recovery Live Concert Series” is that treatment and education mixed with “HAVING FUN” in recovery is indeed possible!!
