By: Town of Frisco “Since it’s our 20 year anniversary, we’re celebrating the people who have made the barbecue a success over the years,” said Suzanne Lifgren, marketing director for the Town of Frisco. “We also want to give a big thanks to the Town of Frisco government for supporting this event and to John Farr and Gail Carissimi for creating the event idea and conducting the first event.” “The Colorado BBQ Challenge is one of our favorite competitions to compete in,” said Del Anderson, Colorado BBQ Challenge competitor. We have met some great barbecuers over the last 17 years we’ve competed and we’re looking forward to participating in many more years to come.” In addition to tasty barbecue, there will be plenty more activities for the entire family. Attendees can enjoy, pig, goat and duck races; live music; chef demos, kids’ activities and games; an exclusive chef demo with Brian Malarkey, the star of ABC’s The Taste; and the Breckenridge Whiskey Rub It, Smoke It, Sip Ot Tour. Admission to the event is free/ Visitors can buy hogback bucks, the official currency of the Colorado BBQ Challenge, to pay for food and beverages.
