Local Merchants Come Together to Support the Homeless

DENVER - June 13, 2013 - PRLog -- Denver-based social network for philanthropy, SoRewarding, is teaming up with Beacons Creative Community Space and local food and wine merchants to host a special benefit event for local nonprofit Aurora Warms The Night this month.

Aurora Warms The Night is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to preserving the life, health and stability of Aurora’s men, women, and children facing homelessness. The organization provides emergency cold weather assistance through food, clothing, & motel vouchers when the evening temperatures are forecasted to be 20 degrees or colder.   Aurora Warms The Night saves countless lives by connecting the homeless to community resources and providing food baskets allowing for homeless to have food when the weather is too severe to visit food banks, or when food banks may be closed due to severe weather.

SoRewarding’s event will not only showcase an amazing local non-profit but will also bring a new crowd to one of Denver’s newest community spaces. Beacons is outfitted with a beautifully decorated setting along with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment in order to accommodate a variety of needs and events in the Cherry Creek community. On the night of the event, the space will be filled with local food and wine vendors as well as live music to set the mood for fundraising.

SoRewarding’s goal is to involve a younger demographic in giving back to their community through integrating giving into daily activities. SoRewarding’s events team plans parties to bring the community together to give back to local nonprofit organizations. Partnering with Aurora Warms The Night is one way for SoRewarding to thank the nonprofit for providing shelter to our homeless community while hoping to inspire young Denverites to support the organization through “Good times for Great Causes.”

Anyone who would like to support this cause is encouraged to join SoRewarding at Beacons at 7:00pm on Thursday, June 27 at 2630 E Third Ave in Cherry Creek North. Tickets are available for purchase on www.SoRewarding.com for $20 which will include wine and food tasing.
