SOUTH JORDAN, Utah - June 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Throughout his career as a medical professional, Dr. Lynn Webster has been dedicated to the proper treatment of chronic pain and addiction. In an effort to develop more effective treatments and therapies for these conditions, he has provided a number of scientific abstracts, journal articles, lectures and textbook chapters that help physicians better understand the intricacies of chronic pain management. Although his work through publications and lectures had already made a major impact on the treatment of chronic pain and addiction at the beginning of this year, Webster had an even greater opportunity to make a positive impact starting this past month. Recently, Dr. Lynn Webster was named President of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM). This is exciting news for the pain management medical community as Webster will bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to its leading organization.

·         Improving the health care delivery systems so that comprehensive treatment is available to patients with chronic pain.

·         Investigating new treatments that are safer and more effective.

He has carefully analyzed and chosen these areas of focus as he believes that “The American Academy of Pain Medicine alone is uniquely positioned to effectively make a difference in these areas.” (Webster 2013).  The pain treatment medical community is excited for the future improvement and advancement that Dr. Lynn Webster will bring to their work during his term as AAPM President. About Lynn Webster, MD and Pain Specialist

After obtaining his Doctorate of Medicine from the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Dr. Lynn Webster completed his residency at the prestigious University of Utah Medical Center in their department of anesthesiology.
