Acmeware Shines at 2013 International Muse Conference

DEDHAM, Mass. - June 11, 2013 - PRLog -- Dedham, MA - The Tuesday Training sessions Data Repository 101 and 102 Soup to Nuts were led by Ian Proffer and Jamie Gerardo, respectively.  Over 20 attendees learned the foundational knowledge for using the MEDITECH Data Repository.  The interactive nature of the sessions provided for lively discussion and afterward the students’ consensus was that they had obtained a thorough working knowledge of Data Repository and how to use it for report development.

On Wednesday, Ian Proffer presented The Data Repository Overnight DBA to a standing room only crowd.  It’s clear that database backups, index maintenance, and performance monitoring and tuning  were of interest to a large number of convention goers. If you are a MEDITECH DR Administrator, this presentation may be worth a review.  Not only were attendees asking for additional copies of the presentation, many have inquired about Acmeware's DR Support Services.

Does the mere mention of 6.0 cause you to break out in a cold sweat?  Acmeware's Jamie Gerardo led a session on the Journey to 6.0 and Beyond to address those fears. She clearly demonstrated the application changes and the new database that holds M-AT data. After examining key tables and how to bring data together, her students were no longer intimidated by 6.0.

Meaningful Use Stage 2, can it really be that hard?  Glen D'Abate, utilizing 20 years of experience with the MEDITECH Data Repository, explored report writing challenges for Stage 2.  The focused group of attendees learned tricks and techniques for extracting Meaningful Use Data created in clinical applications and filed in the DR.

The highlight of the 2013 International MUSE Conference for Acmeware was the Meaningful Use Panel Discussion on Wednesday.
