Dutch App Designers Shows Off 21st Century Answer to Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog

APELDOORN, Netherlands - June 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Lambro Solutions (http://www.lambrosolutions.nl) brought back the old-school adventure running games to Apple iOS users earlier this month with their brand new release – Winter Run (https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/winter-run-free-adventure/id646723980?mt=8). Inspired by the widely popular game of the 1990s- Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog, Winter Run brings back the thrill of jumping over obstacles and collecting golden rings to today’s iPhone, iPad and iPod users.

The game interface is decidedly simple, but incorporates the graphical experience excepted of a game from the 21st century. The mission in Winter Run is to run as far as you can to collect coins while avoiding obstacles that come in your way. A quick tap on the screen initiates a short jump, while an extended tap instructs the character to take a higher leap to avoid snowmen, trampolines, ice and wood obstacles. The total score of each game is calculated based on the number of coins collected, and the distance covered. Winter Run can be played as a single player game, or as a multiplayer game through the Nextpeer platform.

“We are very excited to bring back a game that reminds so many people of their childhood,” said Erwin, Co-Founder of Lambro Solutions. “Our goal was to make Winter Run familiar to fanatics of the older game, while optimizing it for today’s iOS devices.“

Winter Run is available for download on the Apple App Store at no cost for a limited time, and initial reviews have been very positive. Lambro Solutions plans to launch several more games in the second half of 2013.
