THE Heart Of Texas Airshow debuts at TSTC Waco Airport in September! Kirby Chambliss to Headline

WACO, Texas - June 9, 2013 - PRLog -- In a year where so many air shows have been cancelled due to sequestration, D&D Marketing Concepts Inc., has launched two new shows!  Take to the Skies AirFest in Durant, OK was a resounding success and we are proud to announce the debut of THE Heart Of Texas Airshow to be held September 28th in Waco, Texas at TSTC Waco Airport.
This is not just an event; it is an experience that will affect all of the senses with something to offer every age.  The Heart Of Texas Airshow promises to provide something for everyone in an action packed day of fun for the entire family!  Before and after the air show you will be entertained with helicopters, airplanes, warbirds, powered parachutes, skydivers, radio control aircraft and more, in static displays and demonstrations. Flights will be available throughout the day to the public in helicopters, airplanes, historic warbirds and biplanes! Don’t stay on the ground, get in the Air! Wander through concessions of delicious foods, exhibits, vendors and activities for the kids. There is so much to see and do! Bring the entire family and introduce them to the vast wonderful world of aviation and show them how they can become involved. You will love it!  

Debby Standefer, President of The Heart Of Texas Airshow, states “we are very exited to be hosted by Texas State Technical College in Waco, flying from their incredible airport, previously known as John Connally AFB, and helping TSTC show off their state of the art Aviation and Aerospace Division (they have a champion flight team of their own!) as well as many of the departments and programs they offer.”  Waco is very focused on aviation with its own Aviation Business Alliance. Many of these businesses will be participating in the event.  

The Airshow is proud to honor our military. While the festival will commemorate those who have served and are serving in our military services throughout, Opening Ceremonies at the start of the air show will be action packed including honor guards, fly-bys, skydivers and more!  

Headlining the performer lineup is 2 time Red Bull Air Race Champion and 5 time National Aerobatic Champion Kirby Chambliss.  Kirby is ranked in the top 15 aerobatic pilots in the nation and brings his tremendous performance including his Cobra takeoff! Justin Lewis, owner and pilot of the World’s Smallest Jet, as seen in the James Bond movie, amazes in his BD5 Microjet. The breathtaking Trojan Phlyers Demo Team with their astounding formation aerobatics will keep you on the edge of your seat. Piloted by highly decorated combat veteran pilots performing exciting precision close formation aerobatic routines demonstrating the cutting edge performance of the Trojan T28 warbird and the flying expertise acquired in formal military training, the Trojan Phlyers demonstrate high speed action with the roar of the big engines as they fly their historic aircraft rich in military history in a unique and thrilling performance and salute the veterans or our great nation and the men and women who continue to serve and protect us today. The Cavanaugh Flight Museum out of Addison, Texas brings a variety of historic aircraft and has rides available to the public. Chet Kuhn, a former National Aerobatic Champion, will be flying down the day after he finishes competing in this year’s National Aerobatic Championships and will provide more smoke and thrills with his Wolf Pitts. Mike “Spanky” Gallaway, announcer for the famous Red Bull Air Races and other prestigious events, will have you jumping in excitement as he announces the show. Jan Collmer, co founder of the Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas and a veteran Navy fighter pilot, will fly his Extra 300L in maneuvers that will have you biting your knuckles.  Kate Kyer, also a Captain for UPS, brings the female touch to the show which also includes a variety of acrobatic aircraft and historic warbirds in aerobatics and formation flying!
