CHW's Annual FaceLift Event to Transform Homes in City Heights

Project Highlighted as Part of NeighborWorks® Week Celebration
 
SAN DIEGO - June 6, 2013 - PRLog -- As part of National NeighborWorks® Week, hundreds of neighbors, volunteers, and local business leaders will come together on Saturday to give a “Facelift” to a block in City Heights. Volunteers will transform a community by painting homes, planting flowers and trees, removing trash and making other improvements. FaceLift gives priority to senior citizens, disabled persons and low-income families who need assistance in giving their homes new life. CHW has helped “Facelift” over 500 homes and removed over 1,000 tons of trash in City Heights since 1995!

Come watch the transformation this Saturday, June 8th from 8:00am to 2:00pm at the corner of Polk Ave and 46th Street. Parking is available near the Euclid Child Development Center.  CHW is also welcoming additional clean-up and tear-down volunteers to come out between 12:30pm and 5:00pm. Lunch will be provided.
