ENGLEWOOD, N.J. - June 6, 2013 - PRLog -- ENGLEWOOD, NJ – Modiani Kitchens (http://www.modianikitchens.com/) is hosting chef extraordinaire and proprietor of A Bite of Heaven Catering in Teaneck, Tia Salomon at its showroom for a Wine and Food tasting fundraiser to benefit the Alliance Against Homelessness (AAH) of Bergen County (http://www.aahbergen.org/) Thursday, June 13 from 6:30-9:00 p.m.

Passionate and sincere, Chef Tia Salomon is best known for treating every event like her very own and is pleased to be sharing her talents for a worthy cause.  “AAH is passionate about ending homelessness in Bergen County,” says Chef Tia.  “Everybody deserves a place they can call home.”

AAH of Bergen County is a 501 (c) (3) charity that was established in 1989 to provide homes for seriously and persistently mentally ill people who are homeless. The organization owns and operates five state licensed residences which house 10 men and 10 women. Support services are designed to assist residents in reaching such goals as heightened independence, economic empowerment and personal achievement.

Modiani, which opened in 2010, is a Soho-style showroom with 22-foot ceilings, supported by exposed steel beams, and a floating mezzanine. Kobi Arahon is the head designer at Modiani Kitchens and a respected figure in his field, while Gil Kovalsky, who spent years in the construction industry, leads the business end of the company, making for a perfect match. “We’re a good team, we’ve got great products and kitchens are what we love and what we do.”

“We are very excited to open up our showroom for Tia and the Alliance Against Homelessness,” stated Arahon. “We have already hosted events for associations and non-profits including The Community Resource Council of Bergen County, Bald Girls Do Lunch, Gilda’s Club, Alpine Learning Group, the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA). We are always open to considering event ideas.”

“Chef Tia is the “truly great ingredient” that will make this fundraiser so exciting for all who come to support AAH,” says David Moore, Executive Director.  “Every day, we are forced to turn away people who need housing; people whose lives have been turned upside down as a result of their mental illness. The time to help them is now. Everyone who comes to the event can make a difference. With your support, we can do more.”

The benefit is sponsored by United Water, the Allendale Community for Mature Living, and GMP Consulting Inc. Wine & Roses of New Milford will provide the wine selections for tasting.
