High Swartz Partner Recognized by the Women’s Yellow Pages of Greater Philadelphia

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - June 6, 2013 - PRLog -- High Swartz LLP, a general practice law firm based in Norristown, Pa., announced that Mary Cushing Doherty was recently featured as one of the 26 named “Women of Accomplishment,” in the 25th Edition of Women’s Yellow Pages.  This is the second year in a row that Doherty has received this recognition.  She is also one of only two lawyers invited back for this special anniversary edition.

The Women's Yellow Pages of Greater Philadelphia is the largest, most comprehensive and widely-used guide to women-owned businesses and women’s organizations throughout the Philadelphia region, and is distributed in eight counties throughout Pennsylvania, Delaware and southern New Jersey.  It aims to increase the visibility, authenticity, influence and status of women’s businesses for the purpose of promoting economic growth and support of women.  

         With more than 30 years of experience in family law, Doherty concentrates her practice on all aspects of marital dissolution, including divorce, child custody, spousal support and alimony, pre-marital and marital agreements, complex property division, and service as a private arbitrator.

Doherty is a member of the Montgomery County, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and American Bar Associations’ Family Law Sections.  She is also active at the state and national level of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Commission on Women in the Profession.  In addition, Doherty serves as chair of the Alimony Sub-Committee of the Committee on Domestic Relations Law for the Joint State Government Commission of Pennsylvania.

Doherty earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 1978 and her B.A. in 1975 from the University of Delaware.
