Pune, June 05, 2013: Seeking to bring in the natural tweets, Pune-Mumbai realty major Kumar Urban development Limited (KUL) has decided to support a bird conservation project on the occasion of World Environment Day.

KUL will be donating 10, 000 oxygenating plants to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). These plants will be of various species that will further help reduce carbon emissions in the city.

KUL has tied up with local NGO Nature Forever to launch bird conservation at its recently launched project – KUL Nation.

Ms. Kruti Jain, Director, KUL, said, “We have been celebrating the World Environment day for the last eight years contributing in our own way towards making Pune a healthier and greener city. With our association with Nature Forever, we hope bring in a variety of birds nesting on the trees coming up KUL Nation Township.”

Celebrating the event, KUL has also designed a play to spread awareness on environment issues on Saturday at KUL Nation. The play will be based on how our environmental degradation is affecting our daily lives. It explains the importance of preserving nature and how KUL Nation plays an important role in this endeavour. The play will also be based on how traditional values along with modern lifestyle go a long way in creating a natural environment that improves the quality of living.

KUL has roped in a renowned Botanist Dr. Mahesh Shindikar, professor of prestigious College of Engineering, Pune (COEP), to throw light on the importance of nature conservation in our everyday lives. The event will be attended by key dignitaries of Pune.

KUL has won several awards such as the national “Srishti Good Green Governance Award”. The company has also been felicitated by Amicus Enviro Consultancy for its contribution to nature and environment. Recently, KUL was conferred with the ‘CSR Initiative of the Year’ award by Realty Plus Excellence Awards 2013.
