43rd Annual Greater Willow Grove Golf Open

WILLOW GROVE, Pa. - June 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Fore!  On September 23, golfers, community members and area business owners will Swing Fore Charity at the 43rd Annual Greater Willow Grove Golf Open.  

Taking place at the Sandy Run Country Club in Oreland, PA, the golf open begins with a shotgun start and features special contests and prizes throughout the day, including awards for a Hole in One, Straightest Drive and Outstanding Putting.  On-course beverage and snack stands keep golfers energized and focused on their game.  At the conclusion of the open, all participants are invited to enjoy a special dinner at the country club, hosted by Ace Sponsor Hatboro Federal Savings.

This longtime event serves as the primary fundraiser for Willow Grove Charities, a nonprofit organization that supports the urgent needs of our community, neighbors and schools by providing necessary funding and critical lifesaving supplies.  Working closely with elected officials, Willow Grove Charities is the primary supporter of the Second Alarmer’s Rescue Squad and is responsible for scholarships at local private and public schools including Upper Moreland, Hatboro Horsham, The Center School, Archbishop Wood and Settlement Music School.  The nonprofit organization also supports local community groups including Abington Police Athletic League, Willow Grove Literacy Council and the Visiting Nurses Association.  Willow Grove Charities seeks to provide for those in need, offering grants and scholarships as well as heat, shelter and clothing for area families and individuals.

Several exclusive sponsorship opportunities for the Greater Willow Grove Golf Open are now available, including the Double Eagle Sponsor, which entitles companies to signage on all golf carts, recognition in the dinner program, a company sign on one golf hole, and four participant golfers.  A total of seven sponsorship levels fit into every budget and all donated dollars funnel directly back into the community.  Single and group tickets are also available and on sale through September 11, 2013.
