Munger Construction Selected AS CRCOG Southeast Regional Contractor

BRANFORD, Conn. - June 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Branford, CT; While beginning its fifth year as Southwest Regional Contractor for Connecticut's Capital Region Council of Governments program (CRCOG), Pat Munger Construction Company, Inc. was recently selected to also serve as Southeast Regional Contractor.

Munger has been using the EZIQC® system to competitively position itself and be ready to quickly execute projects awarded by owners of public buildings.  Instead of bidding project by project, Munger bids on a catalog of construction tasks, each of which has a direct cost, unit of measure and specification. EZIQC® is a competitively bid Indefinite Quantity Construction Contract that is available to Capitol Regional Council of Governments and Capital Region Purchasing Council Members (CRCOG).  EZIQC® benefits include time savings, cost savings, minimal change orders and high quality construction from bonded, insured and experienced on-call contractors who perform renovation, repair and small to medium sized construction work. EZIQC® contracts meet all Connecticut competitive bid requirements and include separate pricing for non-prevailing and prevailing wage projects.  Regional contractors are selected for each of four regions through an open, competitive bidding process.  The Gordian Group will assist each Member through the EZIQC® process that includes a joint scope meeting, detailed scope of work, proposal, review and purchase order.
