Coldwell Banker Ackley Realty Names General Manager

ORLANDO, Fla. - June 5, 2013 - PRLog -- KISSIMMEE, FL – Kissimmee-based Coldwell Banker Ackley Realty, one of Central Florida’s oldest real estate companies and a top-producing member of the Coldwell Banker network, has named longtime real estate management, training and recruiting executive David M. Lopez as General Manager.

         Lopez, who has held key management positions with real estate companies in Washington, D.C, Virginia and Florida over the past 20-plus years as well as heading two consulting firms, will oversee the day-to-day management operations for the 29-year-old company located in downtown Kissimmee, says Ackley Realty President and CEO Rajia Ackley.

         “David is a great addition to the Ackley Realty family,” says Ackley. “He brings a wealth of knowledge and more than two decades of leadership, managerial, marketing and technical expertise in helping real estate professionals and companies increase their profitability.

         “We’re looking to tap into that vast expertise to enhance our growth potential.”

         At Ackley Realty, Lopez will be in charge of one of Central Florida’s oldest and most successful full-service real estate companies. Over the years the company has been recognized for sales excellence by Coldwell Banker, including 2009 when it was the top performing Coldwell Banker affiliate in Florida as well as a 14-state Southern Region which included Texas, Georgia and the Carolina markets.

         Currently, Ackley Realty has 45 sales associates and Rajia Ackley is looking to double that number this year under Lopez’ tutelage.

         Lopez, a graduate of the US Naval Academy and former Naval officer who interned for Chairman Colin Powell and also selected to serve as a Social Aide to President George Bush and First Lady Barbara Bush, already has established some ambitious goals for the company which include returning Ackley Realty to its No. 1 perch in the Southern Region and building the most “agent centric” environment in the marketplace.

Lopez started his career in real estate in the early 1990s in Washington, D.C., after completing his military service and relocated to Florida’s Longboat Key in 1997. That year he helped develop, promote and launch ProspectsPlus!, personal marketing software for the real estate industry that provided successful technology and marketing strategies for thousands of real estate agents and Brokers throughout the United States and Canada.

He retired from ProspectsPlus! in 2003 and returned to general real estate with Weichert Realtors in Sarasota. At Weichert, he became Managing Broker and successfully spearheaded an aggressive expansion push that saw Weichert grow from a single office to six locations from Sarasota to Orlando.  

         He remained in that capacity until 2008 when he decided to return to his consulting roots. He co-founded Cornerstone Performance Consulting Inc., a Sarasota-based coaching and consulting firm that worked with many real estate agents and companies throughout Southwest and Central Florida, including Ackley Realty, wanting to improve production and profitability.
