AZ Filmmakers Create First of its Kind Feature Film with Only $292.92
Climbing The Online Movie Charts and Revolutionizing Film Making

Phoenix, AZ – June 8th, 2013: Arizona independent filmmakers, Rich Scheirmann and Kelly Mazzonne, sought out to create a compelling feature film using a minimal budget. They did it for just $292.92, a stark contrast to the 2013, summer blockbuster films. The movie aficionado duo purely wanted to see if it could be done, however the response they’ve received is more than they could ever imagine. Their movie, Shooting Death (http://www.shootingdeathmovie.com), is already climbing the online movie charts, inspiring local artists and revolutionizing the film industry.

The film “Shooting Death” is a first of its kind film; a reality based, experimental thriller shot entirely on a flip camera. This is the evolution of film making! The movie arrived in the YouTube Movies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Kkq9cxSVEU) store a couple of months ago and is already creating a small buzz.



Director, Rich Scheirmann, says, “We just found out that the film was released a couple of months ago on YouTube Movies (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Kkq9cxSVEU). Personally, I am shocked at the viewers’ response. We won’t know sales until the end of next quarter; however the trailer has already received close to 1000 views and we have received a lot of positive comments via social media. This has all transpired with no promotion.”

Mazzonne states, “With a good idea, a decent camera and internet distribution, anyone can make a feature film. We did this to see if it was possible, but we have received such a positive response from other artists that are inspired by what we’ve done. That we did not expect.”

The two filmmakers repeatedly affirmed that this was not about making a profit. Laughing, Scheirmann said, “Seriously, if you can’t afford the $1.99, email us and we’ll send you a free copy. I wonder if we qualify for The Guinness Book of World Records for the cheapest feature made? Truth, we only wanted to see if the impossible could be done, and it has.”
