On with the "show"...

What will be the future of the kitchen?  Will there be robots cooking our food?  We already have "self-cleaning" ovens.  What about the fridge?  Will it be smaller or larger than today's standard?  Nobody really knows.

Kitchens maybe a lot more larger (of course - that is depending on the family's income).  They could have fridges talking to us, giving us a detail list of what is in them.  They will probably be voice / command activated.  They could have an internal printer and spit out the list of food inside the frosty doors.  Maybe even make suggestions on what to fix for dinner.

One thing I would love to see is that these cold boxes of food would tell us (of course in a robotic voice), what food must be taken out because it is no longer good.  That would save us time of looking at the labels.  

Also, have you noticed that kitchen floors need scrubbed all the time?  Maybe someone can invent, just like the sweeper, a "motorized" mop, going around, cleaning the floor of the kitchen.  Who knows?  Maybe tomorrow's kitchen will have carpet on it - but to me, that would seem pretty crazy.  Let's take that out of our dream / futuristic kitchen, shall we?

When it comes to ovens, then maybe it will have a voice telling us when it is done.  No more setting the timer and then getting the food out and realize that it was undercooked.  I think the oven of the future will tell us exactly when to take the food out.  That would be fantastic.  No more following instructions on how long to stick our food in the oven.

Dishwashers.  Currently, at our house, my wife makes me and my daughter rinse out the plates before we place them in the dishwasher.  What's the use of the dishwasher if we are cleaning the plates in the first place?  I want a dishwasher that can take the biggest chunk of food off the plate and somehow send it to the garbage disposel.  That would be nice to see as well.

Going back to the robot.  Hopefully, sometime in the near future, we can have a robot make dinner for us, put the dishes in the dish washer, nuke frozen dinners, put dishes up and just clean the whole kitchen. My wife and I feel like we spend to much time in the kitchen as it is by cleaning up everything.  

Well - that is what I think the future of the kitchen will be like.  Wellll, not really - however, it is nice to dream about something like that.
