BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - June 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Raffaela was born in Smithtown, NY and was raised in the small, quaint town of Sayville, Long Island, splitting her time between Long Island and her home in the Berkshires. At an early age it was obvious Raffaela wanted to be a performer; she could sing before she could talk. She graduated from Long Island Performing Arts and Technical High School and attended Sarah Lawrence College where she studied liberal arts. She's received training from the exceptional studios of Susan Batson and Ivana Chubbuck. Raffaela has an extensive background in theatre; she's been involved in over 50 community and regional theatrical productions as an actress and singer.

In 2011 Raffaela wrote and recorded her first EP with Grammy award winning producers Frank and Christian Berman (See music site). Her first two singles, "So What" and "Anger in Me", both of which she wrote, produced and starred in, are viral hits on YouTube. Raffaela had the opportunity to work in collaboration with EUE Screen Gems and Emmy nominated MTV director, Jason Lefkowitz. Currently, she is living in Los Angeles. Raffaela was selected, one of twenty five students from around the country, to participate in the highly regarded Summer Performance Training Apprentice Program at BTG.

Berkshire Theatre Group was created in 2010 by the merger of two of Berkshire County's oldest cultural organizations, Berkshire Theatre Festival founded in 1928 in Stockbridge and The Colonial Theatre built in 1903 in Pittsfield. One of the largest and most exciting arts organizations in the area, BTG oversees the development, production and presentation of theatre, music and the performing arts on 5 stages.

In 2010, Berkshire Theatre Festival and The Colonial Theatre merged to create Berkshire Theatre Group. As Kate Maguire, Artistic Director, CEO, said “Berkshire Theatre Festival and The Colonial share the distinction of having provided an artistic home for the Lunts and the Barrymores; each are registered as National Historic Landmarks. The combined stories of these theatres provide a mirror of insight to the American Theatre—indeed they represent the strength of the American story and capture the essence of our understanding that the arts provide doorways to growth and windows to all that lies in the human heart.”
